Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our marketplace which is available at bookairfreight.com and its subdomains and related domains (the “Site”).

These Terms and Conditions were last updated on 27 Sep, 2021 and may be updated and/or changed from time to time.

The last published edition on the Site will govern any shipment booked by you on the Site. We encourage you to review these Terms and Conditions from time to time. These Terms and Conditions are legally binding and cover all of your transactions on Bookairfreight.

Types of goods

Our forwarders cannot currently support some types of shipments. Please contact us on bookings@bookairfreight.com for more details.

If you fail to properly disclose what is being shipped, for example, hazardous materials, the Freight Forwarder will not be obligated to execute the shipment and you will be responsible for any costs incurred.

Who bears responsibility?

The freight forwarder you book with bears full responsibility for the successful execution of your shipment as booked on the platform.

Bookairfreight is a freight procurement platform that allows you to gather information about freight services, book shipments and track execution. Bookairfreight handles payment collection for the freight forwarders but is not a party to the shipments that you book on Bookairfreight.

The freight forwarders are not agents, contractors, or otherwise affiliated entities of Bookairfreight.

We don’t endorse any freight forwarders, and we don’t in any way supervise, direct or control a freight forwarder's performance of freight services.

Is insurance included?

Bookairfreight provides free cargo insurance of up to US$10,000 (subject to shipping channels).

It depends on the shipping channel you chose. For most shipping channels, we insure goods with values up to US$10,000. For other shipping channels, we may not be able to provide insurance at all.

For shipments worth more than US$10,000, you will need to contribute in purchasing insurance.

No quotes showed up when I searched. Can I still book a shipment?

Yes, of course!

We have a network of freight forwarders across more than 50 countries. You didn't see any quotes because we haven't yet uploaded the shipping rates of the countries you searched for.

Please contact us directly on bookings@bookairfreight.com for a custom quote.

What if I am missing documents?

Without documents, we can't complete the customs clearance process, which means your goods won't be able to ship out.

You need to make sure all the required documentation is sent to your service provider in a timely manner. If documentation is missing, the shipment can be cancelled and you may even have to pay incurred fees.

But don't worry, if you ship with us we will assist you in preparing all the necessary documentation.

Can a freight forwarder refuse my shipment?

Bookairfreight and all freight forwarders are bound to comply with all applicable laws. Should your shipment not be compliant, for any reason, with applicable laws, or should there be a KYC (“Know Your Customer”) compliance issue in connection with your company, a Seller may refuse the shipment.

The freight forwarder can also refuse a shipment lacking correct documentation, or whose commodity is not supported, or if you have misrepresented anything about your shipment.

Bookairfreight may also reject shipments if you have failed to comply with the Bookairfreight terms and policies in the past.

Does Bookairfreight have guaranteed transit time?

We provide slow delivery compensations.If you worked with a normal forwarder, they would tell you they bear no responsibility for delivery occurring outside the estimated dates.

Transit times are not guaranteed, and estimated delivery dates are usually good faith calculations on when your shipment is likely to arrive.

But Bookairfreight provides slow delivery compensations if we failed to deliver within the estimated delivery dates.

Can I cancel my shipment?

Yes, you can.

You can cancel your shipment, and in most cases, we won't charge you a canncellation cost. But if the freight forwarder has already incurred costs (such as picking up your goods), you will be charged for any such commercially reasonable costs, and then you will be refunded the remainder.

How much does Bookairfreight charge?

We only charge a commission that is already included in all of our quotations. Our commission tier structure is based on shipment chargeable weight, which goes as follows:

<299 kg – 12%
300-499 kg – 10%
500-999 kg – 6.5%
>1000 kg – 2.5%

How do I pay?

We make this easy! You won't be charged right at the moment of booking your shipment.

Bookairfreight will collect payment on behalf of the freight forwarder, so you will receive your invoice and make payment to the freight forwarder through Bookairfreight. We accept ACH transfers/bank transfers, and all currencies.

How do I track my shipment?

We will provide a tracking number and tracking link for each of your shipments.

Once you’re on the platform, click on the Shipments tab in the navigation bar, select the shipment you want to view, and then click on the Tracking tab to see the current shipment status.

 How does guaranteed delivery time with slow shipping compensation work?

Guaranteed delivery time with slow shipping compensation is available for select routes from China to USA.

Once your goods are picked up and arrived at our warehouse, you will get an email with the promised delivery date. If we are 7 days delayed after the promised date, our operations team will contact you for refunding your entire shipping fees.

Delayed compensation will be refunded to your Paypal account within 24 hours. If Paypal is not available, customer may select the same amount of credits towards a future shipment.

However, we are only responsible for the delay caused by Bookairfreight.

Exceptions: Bookairfreight will not be obligated to refund or credit your transportation charges if:

1. We provide you with proof of timely delivery, consisting of the date and time of delivery and, if applicable, the name of the person who signed for the shipment, or service-exception information reflecting that the failure to deliver timely resulted from circumstances described under the Liabilities Not Assumed section.

2. The service failure resulted, in whole or in part, from any of the circumstances described under the Liabilities Not Assumed section.

3. The shipping payment wasn't completed on time and delivery was delayed until payment arrangements were secured.

4. The shipment was scheduled for delivery on a national holiday.

5. The shipment was undeliverable, returned or due to the receiver being unreachable.

6. The shipment was delayed due to an incorrect address or due to the unavailability or refusal of an appropriate or eligible person to accept delivery or sign for the package.

7. The shipment was delayed due to customs or regulatory delays, including, but not limited to, any delays resulting from compliance with advance notice or prior notice requirements.

8. The delay in delivery was caused by the payment of duties and taxes prior to customs clearance or at delivery.

Bookairfreight reserves the right to cancel this offering at any time without prior notice, regardless of what is written on the website or platform.
